I never knew you could cook radishes! And you can even cook the greens!
8 - 10 radishes, thickly sliced
1/4 - 1/2 lb yellow beans
1 carrot, sliced
1 lemon, juice and zest
a handful of radish tops, chopped
2-3 garlic cloves, minced
salt to taste
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsps olive oil
In a frying pan or wok heat the butter and oil and lightly brown the garlic. Remove from pan and add beans. Cook 2-3 minutes, then add the carrots and radishes to the pan.
Continue cooking for another 8 - 10 minutes.
Add the radish tops, lemon juice and zest and stir in the garlic.
Toss together with salt to taste and serve.
I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well.
