I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!

Chicken Lollipops

These were fun to make! No, I'm lying. It was actually kinda gross cutting through tendons and such, but they turned out really cute, don't ya think?

For 8 chicken drumsticks

Marinade:
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tbsps sweet chili sauce
1 tbsp plum sauce
2 tsps honey
few drops of hot sauce

Prepare the drumsticks by cutting the meat and tendons from the knuckle and pushing down to the meaty end. You can use a knife, but I found scissors worked best to cut the tendons. And even then they were tough little suckers to cut through!
Anyways once you get through this step it's a breeze. Mix up the marinade and brush it on the lollipops. Refrigerate 4-5 hours.

Set a rack over a lined baking sheet and stand the drumsticks up leaning one on another in pairs.

Bake at 350F for 30 minutes basting with more sweet chili sauce and baking an additional 15 minutes.

Serve with your favourite dipping sauce like plum sauce or even more sweet chili sauce.
